Corner Brook Resource Centre

playroomFor Families and Children

Our centre helps to support families by offering chances for children to socialize with other children, and gives parents the opportunity to meet other
families.  Our playroom and outreach playgroups are set up with areas to provide a chance for your child to paint, use play dough, build with blocks, imaginary and dress up play and have fun. Each playgroup consists of playtime, singing songs and sharing at Circle Time, and a healthy snack.

The Family Outreach resource Centre offers:
  • drop-in playgroups at our playroom on O’Connell Drive and our
outreach site at Humber United Church on Clarence St.
  • We also offer a Kindergarten readiness program for four year olds called “Pre-Kindergarten”
  • We offer age specific programs that focus on various developmental and social areas such as music, gross motor, cooking, art etc.
  • We also have a Toy Lending Library that families can borrow toys and books for their children.
